Services
A Comprehensive Adoption Program that matches homeless animals with new pet owners; there are no time or space limits for any animals in our adoption program. We receive nearly all the area’s surrendered animals, as well as animals from local animal control facilities. We are the stray animal holding facility.
Affordable Spay/Neuter Services open to the public.
A Medical Fund to assist qualified pet owners through tough financial times.
A Pet Food Bank to assist qualified pet owners through tough financial times.
Compassion Programs for children and adults designed to teach compassion, respect and responsible care for pets.
Intervention Programs for people to end neglect and abuse and break the cycle of violence against pets and animals.
Outreach Programming to serve owners with pets in under-served areas.
A Foster Program for animals in need of new homes.
Dog Training classes for dogs and puppies.
A Wildlife Rehabilitation Center that provides rescue, appropriately allowed rehabilitation and release back into the wild.
Dog Adoption
Coco | Female – Boxer…Coco was found shot in the head and having seizures on the side of the road by brown Ranch on December 27th, 2018. Dr. Smolen and the staff of the Animal Hospital of Telluride saved her life, have worked to rehabilitate her, and find her a new, forever home. She is playful and inquisitive and has lots of energy. Coco is best suited in a home where she is the only dog and gets a lot of exercise. She still has some physical challenges in her recovery but overall has made incredible progress. Coco is ready for a foster and forever home!CocoCocoCocoMeet Silas! Male | Black Lab Mix, 1-2 years old…Silas was rescued from the Roswell, NM animal control after having gone through a very difficult life in his short 1-2 years. Severely malnourished and having some optical impairment, he is on the rebound and loves playing with other dogs and living life to the fullest. He is socialized with other dogs but needs a home that is thoughtful to his vision impairment. He is current on medical exam, vaccinations and neuter and is excited to meet his loving foster and forever home!
ADOPTED!! Meet Gracie! Female | Yellow Lab Mix, 1-2 years old…a beautiful and gentle little girl rescued from the euthanasia list, Gracie is discovering a world of human love and new adventures. If you would like to adopt Gracie, or foster her, please contact us!
ADOPTED!! Meet Otter! Male | Mixed Breed of Lab and Bassett Hound, 6 years old…Otter was rescued from the euthanasia list and is as sweet and as full of character as he looks. If you want a lovable and grateful companion, look no further than Mr. Otter! He has been neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, had his bloodwork done – he is all ready for his forever home with you!

Puppy adoptions under 6 months old can vary from $200 to over $400 a puppy at a shelter or rescue. Puppies have a $200 adoption fee, non-refundable, which includes vaccinations, de-worming, micro-chip, and a certificate for spay/neuter, which will be required and agreed to in the adoption application. Adult dogs have a an adoption fee of $175, non-refundable which equally includes as need be to the following: being up-to-date on vaccinations, de-worming, micro-chipping and spay/neuter.
